Super Sunday June 5, 2022. Greater Washington Area Historical Society. Super Sunday is the annual fund raiser for the Historical Society which includes crafters, antiques, art and a variety of items for sale. An Orphan Plant sale, a silent auction and tours of the Museum are planned. We now have a stairlift to help people visit the upper level. The group “Just Banjos” will provide music in the afternoon. The Museum has five rooms of exhibits from this area. In our War Room you will find items from the Civil War to Desert Storm. The main exhibit room has a new collection of vintage dolls as well as a music room, a 1930's kitchen and items that were brought here by early settlers in the 1800's. The Boy Scout Museum has over 2000 items on display dating from the early 1900's. Our meeting room has many pictures of his area and genealogical information for early families. Our main room on the lower level has a George Washington display and more items from this area. Come visit! The Friends of the Octagon House will also be open for tours on June 5, 2022, with a plant sale and a used book sale.
