OPA! The unforgettable "Taste of Greece" Festival reappears every August at Nativity Church in Plymouth, Michigan. In 2020, this amazing cultural festival will be in its sixteenth year and take place August 27, 28, 29, and 30. Just like last year, it begins on a Thursday from 6-11 p.m. with a beer tent and limited menu. Journey to Greece right in your own backyard with the sights, sounds, and tastes of Greece. There is live Greek music, traditional Greek dancing, homemade Greek food including spinach pie, gyros, and saganaki (flaming cheese!), as well as famous Greek pastries including loukoumathes (a tasty and sweet donut-type treat!). While attending, plan to stop at the Greek taverna (Ouzo slushy, please!), the marketplace, and the coffee house with the best Greek coffee in town! Church tours are available as well as Orthodox Christianity exhibits. A Kids' Corner with bounce houses, slides, and games entertain children. Large tent cover makes any day comfortable, rain or shine, and free shuttle and free parking is available. Take a ride to Plymouth, MI the last weekend in August and stop by Nativity Church's "Taste of Greece" Festival. You will think you landed in Greece for a day, and essentially, you did! OPA!
