70 Spree

Late Jun - Ford Fields

Each year the people of Livonia celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the City with a week-long birthday party- 69 Spree!  Held at Ford Fields at the corner of Farmington Road and Lyndon the last full week in June, Livonia Spree has something for everyone in the family:  delicious food; great music ranging from Country to jazz; a fantastic family carnival; and of course, the Grand Finale Fireworks Extravaganza on Sunday night.

Ample parking is available at Livonia City Hall. The free Shuttle Service will operate during Spree hours of operation. A limited amount of parking is available on the Spree grounds. Take Stark Road north off the I-96 service drive. Handicapped Take Stark Road north off the I-96 service drive. The police will provide direction to the handicapped parking area. Handicap permit is required. Shuttle .

While most people think of Spree as a fun event that happens each year at the end of June, a special group of Livonia residents has a very different take on this annual celebration of Livonia’s founding as a city.
The members of the Spree Board and Committee (and in many cases their spouses and friends) work year-round to produce a memorable festival each year. The work involved is similar to running a small business, and each June, rain or shine, the show must go on.

Each year Livonia Spree concludes with its Grand Finale Fireworks Extravaganza on Sunday night at dusk (approximately 10:15 pm). Eagerly anticipated by Spree visitors, Sunday night will find the Spree grounds filled with people, and lawn chairs set up and picnics in progress along major Livonia streets.
