North Cape Yacht Club is proud to host our 18th annual craft show and we will have 26 crafters displaying their wares in our welcoming clubhouse on the shore of Lake Erie. We're welcoming 9 new vendors this year!
Our free event with free parking will once again feature a tasty luncheon served from 11:30-1 with Lady Jan Antal as our host. Jan reports this year's lunch will include homemade tomato basil soup, a grilled cheese sandwich, and cookies. We are certain this year's meal will live up to the reputation of the tantalizing sandwiches and homemade soups that have been served up in the past.
The NCSS Fundraiser is set to go again. Each NCYC vendor has agreed to place a handmade item in the drawing. Volunteers will sell tickets to those who hope to win some of the 26 handcrafted donations. (Tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5. The excitement builds each year as the drawing time nears. This year winning tickets will be drawn at 2:30PM. Winners need not be present to win. Proceeds benefit our North Cape Sailing School, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1999 to provide sailing education and promote boating safety to all interested persons. This past season nearly 20 NCSS scholarships were awarded to youngsters who went to NCYC's Sail Camp. Hopes are that Covid will allow NCSS to bring back their popular Spring Speaker Series.
Former NCYC member Diane Harvey has organized a craft show in the neighboring North Shores community from 10-4 the same day. There will be 20 crafters in their huge tent at the corner of Avenue F and Lakeshore Dr. Baked goods and coffee will be offered. There is no admission fee and neighbors will direct you to free parking areas.
