Tucked along the most popular route to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, our vineyard and tasting room is perched atop the highest point on the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula at 1165 feet. From our deck, one can see the village of Empire, Sugar Loaf, and also the highest point in Grand Traverse County. It truly makes the sunset one of the most memorable you will ever experience!
Surrounded by wide open green spaces, the estate features outdoor games for kids and adults, dancing areas, firepits, and a hiking/snowshoeing trail guiding you to the highest point in Leelanau County. We feature tastings or wine by the glass, live music, and locally-sourced small plates all season long. Join us for live music on our patio in summer and around the outdoor fire pits in winter.
To honor the land and its historical connection to the community, our tasting room was designed to harmonize with the surrounding landscape. With barnwood sourced from the family homestead, there is an undeniable authenticity and connection between Rove Estate and the history of the Gallagher farm. Rove Estate proudly practices environmentally conscious farming and utilize biodynamic and natural practices whenever possible.
