The building was constructed in the heart of Ludington's Downtown by the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows in 1889, and represents the beauty, craftsmanship and architectural integrity of its time. It has retained many original features throughout exterior and interior that speak to its historic use as a Lodge Hall and theater for the community. In addition to the building being a quality example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, its use as a place of congregation for both organizational meeting and family recreation has made this building a part of the culture and social history of the Ludington area.
