And be sure to visit the new Island Sanctuary Island for a one of a kind experience!
The Alanson Riverfest is an award-winning festival organized by the Village of Alanson Downtown Development Authority (DDA). The Alanson DDA was established in August of 2004. From the beginning the board’s central purpose was determined to be the creation of economic growth in order to stimulate a healthy village tax base. The idea of hosting a festival to celebrate the community turned into reality by 2006. The first Riverfest was held in August of 2007 and resulted in a successful event deemed worthy of repetition.
Our town is sure to delight everyone with its charm, the scenic beauty of the river and the all new Santuary Island, its rich opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and the warmth shown by its people. Alanson Riverfest’s purpose is to promote and share our abundance with each other and our neighbors. Be sure to ask about the Steamer replica that is currently under construction, it will be taking visitors on river tours soon.
