Make time this summer for some GREEK FUN at the 14th annual “A Taste of Greece" Cultural Festival in Plymouth, Michigan at: Nativity Church, 39851 W. Five Mile Road. Everyone is welcome!
The unforgettable Greek festivities will take place on Friday, August 24th, 5-11 p.m., Saturday, August 25th, noon-11 p.m., and Sunday, August 26th, noon-7 p.m.
Over 7,000 people journey to Greece right in their own backyards at this wonderful cultural festival with the sights, sounds, and tastes of Greece.
Live Greek music can be heard, traditional Greek dancing can be seen, and traditional Greek food including spinach pie, gyros, and saganaki (flaming cheese), as well as famous Greek pastries including loukoumathes (a tasty and sweet donut-type treat) can (and should!) be tasted.
There is also a Greek taverna with Ouzo slushies, a marketplace, and a coffee house with the best Greek coffee in town! Church tours are available as well as Orthodox Christianity exhibits. A Kids' Corner with bounce houses, slides, and games entertains children. Large tent cover makes any day comfortable, rain or shine. There is a free shuttle service from BOSCH parking lot next door and admission is $2 (free with 3 nonperishable foods for Northville Civic Concern and free for children under 12).
