Chateau Fontaine

Chateau Fontaine is a family-run winery that opened its tasting room doors in 2000. Dan and Lucie Matthies started growing grapes in 1987, and made their first Chardonnay
in 1998.

"Wine is romantic," says Dan. "You can sniff it, smell it and taste it. We have an extreme amount of fun growing grapes and making wine."

We invite you to come taste our award winning wines and enhance your experience on a visit to Leelanau county.  Beyond memories of time at the lake, beautiful views, fudge and found Petoskey stones, you can now take home memories in a bottle with wine from Chateau Fontaine.
